Face Reality Advanced Acne Med 10% is a potent, creamy micronized benzoyl peroxide treatment for severe acne that works to unclog pores and fight acne-causing bacteria, with added soothers and hydrators.
Benefits
This new, advanced micronized formula of benzoyl peroxide (BPO) contains a smaller particle size to penetrate pores more efficiently with a smooth and consistent application.
BPO works as a bleaching and peeling agent, is antimicrobial, increases cell turnover, reduces bacterial count, clears up existing acne, and prevents future breakouts.
Added bisabolol and sodium hyaluronate sooth and hydrate the skin to minimize irritation and dryness.
This is the highest strength of Acne Med, appropriate for oily skin types with severe acne.
HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY USE BENZOYL PEROXIDE & FACE REALITY ACNE MED
After cleansing and toning, apply a thin layer to the entire blemish-prone area. We recommend using Acne Med in the evening. Leave on for 15 to 30 minutes a day initially, and increase wearing time gradually until medication can be tolerated all night. Slight irritation and dryness are normal and temporary.
Traditional moisturizers cannot be used under or over benzoyl peroxide. They interfere with efficacy and cause the Acne Med to travel into the eye area. Those that need extra hydration in the PM should use a water-based hydrating gel or serum under your Acne Med. Do not apply products on top of your Acne Med.
If irritation or sensitivity develops, discontinue use of the product and contact your Face Reality Acne Specialist immediately.
Studio Tip:
Apply a layer of Face Reality Hydrabalance Hydrating Gel under your Acne Med to prevent excess dryness. For best results, pair this Acne Med with other Face Reality products like Ultra Gentle Cleanser and Moisture Balance Facial Toner.
