1. Services and Appointments

a. Skin Control offers a range of esthetician services, including facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, waxing, and other specialized skincare treatments as described on our website and service menu.

b. All services and appointments must be scheduled in advance. We enforce strict appointment times to ensure efficient service delivery and minimize disruptions.

c. A credit card number is required to book appointments as a security deposit. Cancellations or rescheduling must be done at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time to avoid being charged a cancellation fee equal to the full service cost.

2. Client Responsibilities

a. Clients must complete a thorough intake form providing accurate details on medical history, current medications, allergies, skin conditions and any other relevant health information prior to the first appointment.

b. Clients are responsible for carefully reviewing and following all pre- and post-treatment home care instructions provided by the esthetician to ensure optimal results and prevent adverse reactions or complications.

c. Clients must refrain from consuming alcohol or recreational drugs prior to their service, as these may negatively impact the treatment process, results and the client's safety.

3. Consent, Assumption of Risk and Release

a. By booking an appointment and agreeing to these Terms, clients acknowledge that they understand the potential benefits, risks and complications associated with the esthetician services. Certain treatments may cause temporary irritation, redness, swelling or other effects.

b. Clients consent to receiving the esthetician services and assume any risks, complications or injuries arising out of or associated with the services, provided Skin Control's employees follow proper protocols and procedures. Skin Control is not liable for any injury or condition resulting from the client's failure to provide pertinent medical information or follow home care instructions.

c. Clients release Skin Control, its owners, employees and affiliates from any liability for any injury, allergic reaction, hair removal complications, skin irritation or other damages resulting from the services rendered, except those caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

4. Privacy and Confidentiality

a. Skin Control respects the privacy and confidentiality of its clients' personal and health information in accordance with HIPAA laws and the California Consumer Privacy Act.

b. Client data will only be used for service purposes, quality control and as otherwise permitted under applicable laws. It will not be sold or shared with outside third parties without express consent, except as required by valid legal processes.

5. Payments, Products and Refunds

a. Payment for services, products and appointment deposits is due in full at the time of booking or purchase, unless other arrangements are made in advance in writing.

b. Skin Control accepts cash, credit/debit cards and mobile payments. Product sales are final except as provided under our refund/exchange policy.

c. Refunds for pre-paid services may be granted at the discretion of Skin Control on a case-by-case basis, less any reasonable costs incurred. We do not refund for completed services, missed appointments or failure to follow home care instructions. Product purchases are not refundable under any circumstances.

6. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers

a. Skin Control shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages related to the use of its services or products.

b. Our liability, if any, for any alleged damages shall be limited to the amount actually paid by the client for the specific service or product at issue.

c. Skin Control does not make any representations, warranties or guarantees regarding the outcome of its services beyond its professional diligence in providing them. Individual results may vary.

7. Modifications and Updates

a. Skin Control reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.

b. The current version will be available on our website. Continued use of our services or website will constitute acceptance of any revisions.

8. Governing Law, Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution

a. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of California, regardless of any conflict of law principles.

b. Any dispute relating to these Terms, our services or dealings with Skin Control shall be resolved first through good faith negotiations. If unresolved, the dispute will be submitted to confidential binding arbitration in accordance with California law, except as precluded by law for certain claims.
